True Refrigerator Price - Is It Worth It?

Why Trust Us?

Although the idea of a True refrigerator may be unfamiliar to you, the company is far more well-known than you may think. True refrigerators keep food and beverages cold in practically every grocery store and many restaurant kitchens. Do you know those glass coolers with sliding doors and tops used at gas stations for refreshments and ice cream? True manufactures them.

As a result, the company has nearly a century of expertise in making equipment that satisfies chefs' high requirements and looks and feels solid. All of that expertise is included in True's residential refrigerator line.

These American-made refrigerators have no extraneous frills and only the features they require to function well for a very long period.

True refrigerators have a distinctive look as well. Choose one, and your kitchen will certainly not resemble your neighbor's. You may also add a little personality by selecting one in a unique hue. Every year, the firm introduces a new color. It was Juniper, a deep blue-green, in 2021. It's sage green for 2022.

These are just a few reasons to pick a True residential refrigerator over a model from one of the top refrigerator manufacturers. Continue reading to learn more about True refrigeration and its prices.

What is True Refrigeration?

In 1945, Robert Trulaske and his family designed the first-ever commercial refrigerators in their backyard. True has become one of the most trusted luxury refrigerator brands in commercial refrigeration, leading the industry with more than 60 years of experience with that same innovation and passion. Committing to innovation, performance, sustainability, and value, True has manufactured a wide range of best-in-class refrigeration systems that have been designed with attention to quality and durability with its 304-grade stainless steel inter exteriors. A True fridge is reliable, energy-efficient, and long-lasting thanks to its quality components, R920 hydrocarbon refrigeration systems, and patented True technology like a precision control panel or TruLumina LED lighting.

Who is True Refrigeration for?

Numerous built-in refrigerator styles, including the slim column, the typical side-by-side, and the little undercounter refrigerators, are available from True. But this company also offers a wide range of models, sizes (48", 42", 36", and 30"), and design versatility for households of various sizes. Additionally, the sleek stainless-steel exterior and interior that are highlighted by the increased LED lighting are ideal for anyone who desires a professional appearance. Or use True Refrigerator personalization for a more distinctive appearance that adds a splash of color. This feature gives consumers the option to select from ten unique colors and five hardware finishes to match or contrast.

True refrigeration systems are also user-friendly, with doors that stay open for 120 degrees and shelving that can be extended, removed, or changed. In addition to being aesthetically beautiful, your True refrigerator will ensure that your food lasts longer thanks to its high-performance forced-air refrigeration technology with dual compressors and evaporators. True has high-end brand prices that are on the luxury scale. A side-by-side refrigerator can cost anywhere from $16,850 to $18,800, while a True residential refrigerator column can be purchased for between $9,880 and $10,999.

True Residential vs. True Commercial

It's time for some background: Since the founding members of the Trulaske family unveiled the first industrial roll-top refrigerator in 1945, True, a family-owned business with headquarters in Missouri, has been in operation.

It only produced commercial goods and restaurant equipment from that point on till 2008. With the introduction of its under-counter refrigerator line, which is quiet enough for a home kitchen or bar setting, True entered the residential market at that time. The company then released built-in side-by-side refrigerators for households. Column freezers, beverage centers, and wine fridges were recently added by True, and the company claims that more in-demand configurations are on the way.

True is a brand that designed its residential refrigerators using its decades of expertise in building reach-in refrigerators and other commercial refrigeration equipment to create high-quality units that can be found in any setting, from homes to professional kitchens. Their top-notch materials and incredibly sturdy construction show that. True is accustomed to giving restaurants and grocery businesses mission-critical equipment, and its refrigerators won't let you down either.

What, therefore, is the distinction between True commercial and household refrigerators? Although size is important, commercial refrigerators are often noisier. They also contain additional interior wire, glass, and stainless steel shelves, which are typically reduced in residential items.

True offers certain business goods that can be used in a domestic setting, such as a garage or pool cabana, but it doesn't suggest those for your indoor kitchen, such as the 24- or 36-inch slide-top beverage refrigerator.

True Side-by-Side Refrigerator and Freezer

48-inch width - 29.44 cu. ft. capacity

The refrigerator chamber of these vintage refrigerators may have a glass door framed in stainless steel or two solid stainless steel doors. The interior of the glass door won't have any bins, which is the only other distinction between them. You can select from one of the nine bespoke colors and five additional hardware finishes, or you can go with the traditional stainless steel exterior.

The door bins and drawers have steel fronts with clear polycarbonate panels, and the shelves are glass with stainless steel frames inside. The spacious, full-extension drawers slide out and in smoothly, and they are made to be simple to clean.

The refrigerator's ice machine and water dispenser frequently malfunction. By deleting them, True took care of this problem. However, you may purchase a standalone True clear ice maker.

True Under-Counter Refrigeration

True manufactures a huge selection of outdoor and indoor installable under-counter refrigerators. Each of them has a UL rating for outdoor use. Adding the necessary insulation and winterizing the ice maker would be all required.

These refrigerators have doors that can be customized to match your cabinets, such as solid stainless, stainless, glass, or panel-ready doors. All of True's full-size refrigerators' bespoke finishes are available for your selection.

True Under-Counter Refrigerator

15-inch width - 3.2 cu. ft. capacity
20-inch width - 5.6 cu. ft. capacity

Choose from a variety of custom colors after deciding whether to use a right or left door hinge. The door may be made of full stainless steel, glass and stainless steel, or panel ready.

True Under-Counter Beverage Center

24-inch width - 5.6 cu. ft. capacity

You can choose a stainless, glass, or panel-ready door, or this unit has a glass door with a stainless steel frame. You can choose from 14 different colors for the interior illumination when using TruLumina lighting. The integrated rack is great for storing wine bottles and organizing drinks. Another benefit of this unit is that, because of its adjustable shelving, it can also be utilized as a refrigerator.

True Refrigerator Drawer

24-inch width - 5.4 cu. ft. capacity

This under-counter drawer is a terrific option if you need more space to cool. Its dimensions are identical to those of a Sub Zero refrigerator drawer, but it has a larger interior—a Sub Zero fridge drawer is 36 inches wide, but it can hold just 5.2 cu. ft. of food. It comes with a panel-ready front or in solid stainless steel. We particularly appreciate that the drawer is tall enough to accommodate wine or other bottles that are less than 12 inches tall.

True Freezer Drawer

24-inch width - 4.2 cu. ft. capacity

This handy drawer can be perfect for you if you don't need a full freezer. It can hold anything from trays of lasagna to ice cream with a 4.2 cu. ft. capacity. Just be aware that there isn't an ice maker included in it. True claims that a lot of people decide to install a refrigerator column and one or more freezer drawers.

True ADA Refrigeration

A beverage center, wine cabinet, refrigerator drawer, and ADA refrigerator unit were recently introduced by True. Since ADA counters are lower, ordinary under-counter storage won't fit in the space. These are designed for both residential and commercial use, such as in the hospitality industry.

These units may not offer the same versatility and are smaller in size, but they are far less expensive than other True under-counter units. However, they might be perfect for you if your countertop is low. From the conventional units, there are some design variations. For instance, the top control panel is deftly concealed under the toe kick to increase the inside space. Instead of having shelves made of solid stainless steel, ADA units include vinyl-coated wire shelves. They also lack adjustable display lighting in favor of a white LED strip.

True Slide Top Beverage Center

24-inch width

This genuine commercial item works well for domestic use in a pool cabana or outdoor kitchen. It's retro aesthetic, which is available in various hues, can enhance your décor. We also like that it costs less than $2,000
